Tragedy at Sea: New Losses for the Ukrainian Navy
Unfortunately, two crew members have died, and several are considered missing following a Russian attack on a ship of the Ukrainian Navy, reported spokesman Dmitry Pletenchuk.
This information was shared by the Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmitry Pletenchuk during a morning news marathon on August 29.
"Regrettably, we have confirmed the second fatality. Search and rescue operations are ongoing. We will certainly find all our missing personnel – they are several. A few servicemen have also been injured. However, most of the crew has remained safe since yesterday," stated the spokesman.
The host noted that enemy media reported that the ship had sunk, but Pletenchuk clarified that he "cannot confirm this information at the moment."
