Train Attack in Dnipropetrovsk Region: Details

A train traveling from Odessa to Zaporizhzhia was attacked in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Emergency services and medical teams are currently on-site, and passengers have been moved to shelters. This information was confirmed by Ukrzaliznytsia.

"Train No. 52 sustained damage due to an enemy strike. Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene. Passengers were moved to shelters as an air raid alert is in effect," the statement said.

Ukrzaliznytsia also noted that they are preparing alternative rolling stock along the Dnipro river to transport passengers to Zaporizhzhia. The head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported damage to civilian infrastructure, including a dormitory, a gymnasium, and an administrative building. The train was severely damaged, and passengers sustained injuries. Tragically, there are casualties and injuries.

Update:

"Fortunately, there were no fatalities among the passengers or railway workers of train No. 52, which was hit by an enemy missile. Those injured are receiving medical assistance."

To transport passengers to Zaporizhzhia, Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled an additional electric train that will depart from Dnipro at approximately 1:00 PM."
