Tragedy in Ukraine: New Casualties from Attacks
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as of Tuesday evening, a massive attack by Russia on June 17 has resulted in 12 confirmed fatalities: 10 in Kyiv and two more in Odesa.
"As of 17:30, due to the night strikes, 12 people have died. Among them, 10 are from Kyiv, and 2 individuals were rescued from the rubble in Odesa. Unfortunately, operational information is often subject to revision, as during search and rescue operations, body parts may be discovered which are initially recorded as separate casualties. Final confirmations are provided by forensic experts after analysis in a mobile DNA lab". – stated the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko
The minister noted that rescue workers and police continue to operate at the sites of the strikes on residential infrastructure.
The rescue operation is ongoing at two locations in Kyiv. People remain trapped under the rubble, so work will not cease until everyone is found, – Klymenko assured.
