Odessa Under Attack: Aftermath and Response
At dawn, the enemy brazenly attacked Odessa using drones.
«The strike hit our inclusive support center, a place where we worked with children with special needs. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Nearby, a kindergarten was also damaged.
Significant destruction was recorded in the historical part of the city: buildings were severely damaged, and fires are still being extinguished in several locations. Currently, there are no reports of fatalities. All necessary assistance is being provided to the victims», said Odessa's mayor, Gennady Trukhanov.
Emergency services are on-site, and cleanup efforts will begin shortly.
A city operational headquarters will be established to coordinate assistance and recovery efforts.
According to the State Emergency Service in the Odessa region, 13 people are currently reported injured.
Rescuers are extinguishing fires, and there may be people trapped under the rubble.
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and National Police are working at the scene.
