Commemoration of Children Lost to War in Ukraine

According to a UN resolution, June 4 is observed as International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

In Ukraine, based on the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada dated June 1, 2021, this day is dedicated to honoring the memory of children who lost their lives due to Russian military aggression.

Since 2014, Ukrainian families and children have been living in constant danger, facing injuries and loss of life.

According to the state portal "Children of War," as of June 4, 2025, 1975 cases of child injuries and 631 fatalities due to the war in Ukraine have been recorded. However, these figures may not be complete due to ongoing military actions.

In the Odesa region, 12 children have lost their lives to enemy shelling, 9 of whom were in Odesa.

We must remember each child lost and keep their memory alive in our hearts.

It is essential to pray and act so we do not lose the ability to empathize and remain silent in the face of evil.
