Open Taekwondo Tournament in Kolodenka
From November 1 to 3, an open nationwide class A taekwondo tournament "Children of Ukraine XXV" and the Ukrainian championship took place in the village of Kolodenka (Rivne region).
These competitions served as qualifiers for the European Championship, which will be held in two weeks in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
A total of 140 athletes participated in the Ukrainian championship, while 465 taekwondo practitioners competed in the tournament.
The representatives from Odesa performed excellently, bringing home 6 medals from the Ukrainian championship.
Among the champions were athletes from the "Olympian" sports school - Renata Podolyana and Maria Labuzova. Bronze medals were won by athletes from the Complex Children's and Youth Sports School No. 17: Oleksandr Labuzov, Olha Shvarts, Viktor Semanyuk, and Yuliya Hamurar.
The open tournament "Children of Ukraine XXV" also showcased impressive results from Odesa's juniors and cadets, who earned 8 medals.
The tournament winners included Anastasia Volosenko, Zlata Volosenko, Danila Komarov, Daniil Modnov, and Matviy Lukashuk. Bronze medals were awarded to Ivan Cherevichny, Nazar Lukashuk, and Lina Yeremenko.
The athletes were prepared by coaches Yuliya Podolyana and Viktor Semanyuk.
In Odesa, 178 athletes engage in taekwondo (WTF) at the Complex Children's and Youth Sports School No. 17 and No. 7.
