Ukrainian Championships in Synchronized Swimming: Results and Highlights

From November 15 to 18, an important championship for young athletes in synchronized swimming was held in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.

65 young swimmers from various regions participated, including Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions.

The Odesa region was represented by talented athletes from the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve "Chornomorets" and the Odesa Regional Complex Children and Youth Sports School.

Among juniors, Vladyslava Kocherba from Odesa won the technical solo event, taking 1st place. In the duet events - both technical and free - the Odesa team consisting of Sofia Sarukhanian and Taisiya Pochepinska achieved 3rd place.

In group events, the Odesa team, which included Vladyslava Kocherba, Sofia Sarukhanian, Yelyzaveta Siedova, Taisiya Pochepinska, Maria Borysova, Anastasiya Borysova, Eva Haval'ko, Sofia Dronova, Oleksandra Futorna, and Olena Aliyevskaya, secured silver in both technical and free routines and bronze in acrobatic groups.

In the technical solo events for boys and girls, Sofia Sarukhanian was crowned champion. The duet team of Sofia Sarukhanian and Yelyzaveta Siedova also took 1st place.

Additionally, the gold medal was won by the Odesa team in the combined groups, consisting of Yelyzaveta Siedova, Maria Borysova, Anastasiya Borysova, Eva Haval'ko, Sofia Dronova, Oleksandra Futorna, and Olena Aliyevskaya.

The athletes were trained by instructors Olga Nikolaychuk (SDYUSSHOR "Chornomorets") and Svitlana Pershyna (Odesa Regional KDYUSSH).
