Open Climbing Championship in Odesa 2025
On January 25, 2025, the open climbing championship and school cup took place in Odesa, featuring bouldering competitions.
A total of 72 athletes participated: 40 boys and 32 girls.
Participants included students from the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve, the "Dynamo" Sports School, the "Odesa" climbing club, and the Odesa Private Lyceum "Krok".
In the 2010-2011 age group (youth group "B"), the first place was taken by Yuliya Karaban (KDYUSSH "Dynamo") and Timur Gladkykh (DUSSHOR), second place went to Varvara Nimienko and Artem Mykhailov (DUSSHOR), and third place was claimed by Konstantin Ivanov (KDYUSSH "Dynamo").
Among athletes aged 2012-2013, the winners were Vira Hutsol and Hryhoriy Chaplya, with Melaniya Bodnar and Hai Sukhanov taking second, and Veronika Chernienko and Mark Barzikov finishing third.
In the 2014-2015 age group, gold medals were awarded to Mariya Kateryeva and Yegor Falko, silver to Kateryna Yatsenuk and Yaromyr Shvydkyi, and bronze to Serafim Koroev and Oleksandr Nedoluzhenko.
In the 2016-2017 age group, the winners were Ksenia Tsirulnikova and Mykhailo Baranov, with second place going to Daria Rembovska and David Dolhyi, and third to Anna Anfinogenova and Matviy Lypovskyi. All athletes are students of the SDYUSSHOR.
The youngest participants, born in 2018-2019, competed for the SDYUSSHOR cup. The winners were Teona Pashaieva and Dmytro Shymkov, with silver awarded to Sofia Nazarova and Mykyta Shvydkyi, and bronze to Maiya Shcherbina and Yan Krasnoslobodtsev.
The athletes who took podium places were trained by coaches: Svitlana Svitlychna, Viktor Remnev, Oleksandra Starytska, Liubov Zymova, Tetiana Pashaieva, Nataliia Kopotienko, Oleksandr Shaparets, Oleksii Krynetskyi, Oleksandr Pavlenko, and Vira Prokopyeva.
