Young Gymnasts from Odesa Shine at Competitions

Among the popular sports for young girls in Odesa, rhythmic gymnastics holds a special place. From an early age, girls are taught grace and elegance at the Complex Children's and Youth Sports Schools No. 1, No. 5, and the Specialized Children's and Youth Olympic Reserve Sports School "Chornomorets".

These institutions have over 330 young athletes, many of whom achieve remarkable results at competitions of various levels.

Recently, Odesa gymnasts excelled at the All-Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament "Crimson Autumn" held in memory of coach L. V. Luk'yanchuk from October 18 to 20 in Odesa.

In the masters category, top spots were secured by Angelina Zhdanova from "Chornomorets" and Valeria Kyrylova and Yuliya Bondarchuk from KDYUSSH No. 5.

The KDYUSSH No. 5 team also won 1 gold and 2 silver medals in group exercises, while the "Chornomorets" team claimed one gold award.

The athletes were trained by coaches Angela Vasylenko and Yana Chupryna.

Overall, the tournament featured over 350 gymnasts from Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhia, and Odesa competing in 5 categories.
