New Ticket Verification Rules for Ukrzaliznytsia

Starting from August 1, Ukrzaliznytsia has implemented mandatory verification through "Diia.Signature" for ticket purchases on three trains instead of five, as previously announced.

This information comes from the company’s press service.

The decision was made in response to passenger feedback, showing that Ukrzaliznytsia is listening to its customers.

Verification will be required when purchasing tickets for the following domestic routes:

  • №29/30 Kyiv — Uzhhorod,
  • №12 Lviv — Odesa,
  • №27/28 Kyiv — Chop.

Thus, the trains №105/106 Odesa – Kyiv and №91/92 Lviv – Kyiv have been removed from the previous list.

Ukrzaliznytsia also explained that to buy or return tickets for these trains, passengers will need to verify their account in the "Ukrzaliznytsia" app.

To ensure access to these tickets for passengers who do not have new type passports or the possibility to update them, ticket sales for these trains will also remain available at several ticket offices:

  • in Chop (ticket office №2);
  • in Uzhhorod (ticket office №2);
  • in Lviv (ticket office №1);
  • in Odesa (ticket offices №14 and №2);
  • in Kyiv (ticket offices №21 and 22).

"We are closely monitoring the results of the pilot launch to determine whether we will expand this practice to other routes," the company stated.
