Success at the European Judo Cup in Brno
On October 4-5, the traditional judo tournament - the European Cup of Future Stars took place in Brno, Czech Republic, where young athletes under 13 and 15 years competed for medals.
The Ukrainian national team secured first place in the overall standings, claiming 26 medals, including 6 of the highest rank.
Among the participants were athletes from Odesa. Notably, Ivan Arsenyuk, a student of the Odesa Regional Children's and Youth Sports School for Judo and Rugby (coach - Vladislav Bolichevsky), won a silver medal in the 38 kg category. In the 73 kg category, Oleksandr Severhin from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 4 in Odesa (coach - Oleg Spivak) earned a bronze medal.
In the specialized municipal institutions of extracurricular education in Odesa, there are 144 young judo practitioners.
