Uzhgorod Hosts National Sambo Tournament 'Young Ukraine Cup'
From August 28 to September 1, Uzhgorod hosted the national sambo tournament titled 'Young Ukraine Cup' at the sports complex 'Yunost', bringing together juniors, junior girls, older boys, girls, and cadets.
The event attracted around 500 participants from 21 regions of Ukraine.
In the team standings among cadets, the boys from Odesa region took first place, while the girls from Kyiv achieved victory.
The athletes from the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 4 of Odesa showcased outstanding performances as part of the Odesa region team.
Among cadets, Kyrylo Vasylinych (79 kg) secured a silver medal, and Dmytro Budish (88 kg) earned bronze.
In the older boys' competition, Artur Amiryan (88 kg) celebrated victory, while silver medals went to Yegor Dubinenko (79 kg) and Ivan Makyuta (88 kg), with Kyrylo Vasylinych (79 kg) taking home a bronze.
In the juniors' competition, Oleg Pryima (64 kg) won a bronze medal.
The athletes were trained by coaches Oleg Spivak, Fedor Fomenkov, and Oleksandr Skypka.
