Empowering the Disabled Community in Odesa
In Odesa, the «Social Taxi» initiative has been successfully running for a year, launched by the city council with support from the organization «Barrier-Free».
This service is designed for people with disabilities, enabling safe and comfortable travel to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, social services, and other important locations.
Since its inception, «Social Taxi» has facilitated over 2,500 trips, helping residents overcome both physical distances and barriers.
The project is implemented in partnership with Valentina Khoruzha, ambassador of the national initiative «Movement Without Barriers,» as well as veteran organizations and athletes with disabilities.
To use the service, one can call 15-01 or fill out an application on the «Barrier-Free» NGO website or the official website of Odesa.
The city continues to develop initiatives aimed at creating an accessible environment for all residents.
