Defender's Day was established in 2014 to honor the courage and heroism of those defending Ukraine's independence. This holiday is linked to the feast of the Protection of the Holy Virgin, honored by Cossacks. Modern defenders carry on the Cossack traditions.
War shapes the Ukrainian nation, and today's defenders have earned the trust of Ukrainians through their bravery. The Ukrainian army is now one of the strongest in the world, and we must support our troops and bring Victory closer.
