Border Guard Championship in CrossFit: Achievements and Victories
The Border Guard Service of Ukraine recently hosted a thrilling CrossFit championship in Lviv. Over 50 participants from across the nation showcased their strength, endurance, and teamwork. The remarkable outcomes achieved by the servicemen from the Odessa unit were highlighted by the Southern Regional Office.
Competitors participated in four age categories, performing a set of nine exercises — from pull-ups and bench presses to rope climbing and team relay on the Concept 2 rowing machine.
The Odessa unit secured the gold medal in the overall team ranking. Additionally, the Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi border guard units also claimed podium finishes. The strongest border guards earned several accolades:
Individual achievements:
- Bohdan Kalkatynich — gold in the II age group (Odessa unit);
- Narek Arutyunyan — gold in the III age group (Odessa unit);
- Maxim Zahorodnyuk — bronze in the II age group (Izmail unit);
- Serhiy Tkachenkо — silver in the III age group (Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi unit).
In team competitions, the servicemen of the Odessa unit again rose to the podium, winning a silver medal in the relay.
