Environmental monitoring at Tiligul Estuary: inspection results from April 3, 2025
In the Regional Landscape Park «Tiligul», near the village of Tanivka, a joint patrol of environmental inspectors and border service representatives took place. This was reported by the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern Region.
During the inspection, 13 abandoned shrimp nets with a total length of 11 meters were discovered. The illegal fishing gear was confiscated, and as a result of prompt actions, the lives of aquatic inhabitants were saved: 3 kg of shrimp, 2 kg of bullhead, and 2 kg of atherina were returned to the water.
"Environmentalists urge citizens not to remain indifferent and to report cases of poaching, so together we can preserve the unique nature of Odesa region" - states the report.
