Recovering Driver's Documents During War

Loss of driver's documents is a situation that can happen to anyone, especially in wartime when people are forced to leave their homes. What should you do if you have lost your vehicle registration certificate?

Stay calm; driver's documents can be quickly restored at any territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If you cannot visit in person, you can issue a notarized power of attorney to another person to represent your interests.

When visiting the service center, you need to prepare the following documents:

a passport with a residence registration (or an ID card with a residence extract);
a copy of the taxpayer registration number certificate;
a police report (if the documents were stolen).
The approximate cost of services is 350 UAH for the administrative fee and 540 UAH for the new certificate blank. You may also choose to get a new license plate or keep the old one. The vehicle re-registration occurs on the same day, and you can also request an electronic certificate without a plastic blank.

More information about vehicle re-registration services can be found on the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Please note that services are provided by prior registration in the E-Record system or through a terminal located in the service center.

You can get consultations regarding services by calling (044) 290-19-88 or through the social media pages of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Answers to frequently asked questions are available on the website.
