Metropolitan Epiphanius Visits Odesa Region
His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius visited the Odesa region, where he met with injured defenders of Ukraine.
Together with Archbishop Afanasii, he spent time with those undergoing treatment.
The visit included an important meeting with local authorities, military leaders, and community activists.
Oleg Radkovskyi, the first deputy head of the Odesa Regional Council, presented the Metropolitan with an honorary award and expressed gratitude for his support.
«Your presence during these challenging times serves as a crucial support for the people of Odesa. The church and prayer are pivotal for our warriors fighting for the homeland. Thanks to your dedication, the Orthodox Church acts as a spiritual shield for our nation», – stated Oleg Radkovskyi.
During the meeting, church awards were presented to officials and military personnel for their contributions to spiritual revival.
In his speech, the Metropolitan emphasized the importance of spiritual security and the role of the Church in contemporary Ukrainian society, as well as the threats posed by the aggressor.
Among the honorees was also Oleg Radkovskyi and council member Andrii Babienko.
