Railway Incident: Man Suffers Severe Injuries
The event took place yesterday, February 7, around 10 PM. The victim sustained a serious arm injury.
This was reported by the police.
The investigative team of the local police unit preliminarily determined that a 53-year-old man, living nearby, was near the platform on the tracks and did not respond to the signals of the train driver. The driver executed an emergency brake, but could not avoid hitting the man. The victim was hospitalized with an amputated arm.
Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of the Odessa District Police Department No. 1 entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 2 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding violations of traffic safety rules that resulted in serious bodily harm. All circumstances of the incident are being established. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office of Odessa.
