How to Obtain a Driver's License in Ukraine: Step-by-Step Guide
Acquiring a driver's license in Ukraine is an essential milestone for many. It not only ensures freedom of movement but also opens new career opportunities. Let’s explore the key aspects involved in obtaining a driver's license.
Currently, there is no upper age limit for obtaining a driver's license in Ukraine, meaning even older individuals can become drivers as long as they do not have medical contraindications. However, there is a clearly defined minimum age for obtaining a license:
- 16 years for categories A1 and A;
- 18 years for categories B1, B, C1, C;
- 19 years for categories BE, C1E, CE;
- 21 years for categories D1, D, D1E, DE, T.
To obtain a driver's license, one must study the traffic rules according to the Standard Training Program. This can be done independently or at a driving school. After that, it is necessary to pass a theoretical exam at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center. Upon successful completion of the test, candidates undergo practical training at the driving school and take an internal practical exam. Finally, they face the official exam at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
