Tragedy in the Black Sea: Cargo Ship EILEEN Sinks

In the Black Sea, approximately 140 kilometers east of Varna, the cargo ship EILEEN (flagged from Cameroon) has sunk. Maritime.bg reports this incident.
Yesterday, around 1 PM, the vessel sent a distress signal due to flooding in its hull.
Following this, the captain ordered the ten-member crew, all Ukrainian sailors, to abandon the ship. They successfully evacuated using two lifeboats. The offshore vessel MURAT ILHAN, the closest to the disaster site, rescued them.
The cargo ship EILEEN was built in 1993 and is currently managed by a company based in Odesa.
The last inspection revealed five violations and was conducted in Izmail. Due to these violations, the ship was detained in Poti (Georgia) in July, in Astakos (Greece) in June, and in Tuzla (Turkey) in March.
