Celebrating Defender's Day in Ukraine
Today, on October 1st, Ukraine celebrates Defender's Day. This day is dedicated to honoring the unwavering spirit of those who fought for Ukraine's independence in the past, as well as the bravery of modern soldiers, veterans, and volunteers who protect our territorial integrity.
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, addressed the defenders with a greeting:
«Dear defenders! On behalf of the entire Odesa community, every family, and every heart, we express our gratitude. You are the ones who keep the light in our homes. You do not allow fear to settle in our hearts. Thanks to you, we have hope for the future. We do not just thank you; we actively support: we work, volunteer, and pray. We are building the country to which you will return victorious. May every 'thank you' serve as your armor. May the smile of every child, the calm of every morning, and each new day confirm that you fight for a purpose. May God protect Ukraine!»
