Preserving the Kuyalnik Estuary: New Challenges and Initiatives

The Kuyalnik National Nature Park has launched a campaign aimed at raising public awareness about the critical condition of the estuary.

This was reported by the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern District.

On September 12, participants of the campaign discussed several crucial ecological issues, including increased water mineralization, the need for cleansing the estuary from salts, and the threat of losing unique natural complexes.

Officials from the State Environmental Inspection, including the deputy head and the head of the water resources department, gave an interview to the «We-Ukraine» TV channel. They shared insights about violations of environmental legislation in the estuary basin and the measures being taken for its protection.

The environmental inspection urged local residents to be conscious and responsible: to avoid polluting the protected water zones and to report any violations to the administration of the Kuyalnik National Nature Park or the environmental inspection.
