Fires in Odesa Region: Increasing Threats to Nature

Over the past week, 200 hectares of land have been burned in the Odesa region.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

While it's genuinely hot outside, this isn't the only reason for fires in open areas!

According to the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Southwestern Region, the environmental damage amounts to billions of hryvnias.

The reasons for these fires include human negligence and irresponsibility, whether intentional or accidental, but the result is the same – widespread fires that destroy both animal and plant life and pose a real danger to human health and safety.

Remember, your thoughtless actions can lead to irreversible consequences. So before you toss a cigarette butt onto dry land or 'clean up' by burning dry grass, stop and think if you want to become a criminal.
