Traffic Incident on Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue
Today, April 27, a traffic incident occurred in the afternoon on Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue.
According to Dmitry Slyuta, head of the transportation crime investigation department of the National Police in Odessa region, it has been preliminarily established that a 46-year-old female driver of a «Ravon» lost control while exiting a car wash, damaging a fence and driving onto the sidewalk, where she hit a 7-year-old girl, pinning her against a parked «Renault» vehicle.
The child was hospitalized with suspected pubic bone fracture, bruises, and abrasions.
Law enforcement checked the driver for intoxication and found she was sober.
The investigative group from the regional police is determining the full circumstances of the incident. The question of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations is being resolved.
Police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and to be attentive and cautious behind the wheel.
