Kind Hearts: Teachers and Students Unite for Goodness
In the lead-up to Teachers' Day, educational institutions in Odesa held an event called «Kind Hearts», which united educators, children, and parents for a noble cause.
Students, along with their teachers, organized fairs where they sold handmade items crafted with love by their families.
The atmosphere in schools was incredibly warm and genuine. The fair raised a total of 2,156,360.42 UAH.
«I want to express my gratitude to the educators of Odesa, the children, and every family that participated in the fairs and competitions, and of course, to Natalia Kartasheva for your support for our defenders», said the Director of the Department of Education and Science, Olena Buinevych.
The funds were collected through «Monobank» and after the event were transferred to the account of the charitable foundation «Southern Shore».
«Today, we have already received our first crucial orders - tourniquets and bandages. These items are directly related to saving lives», noted foundation representative Natalia Kartasheva.

A tourniquet is an essential tool for stopping critical bleeding in field conditions. It applies pressure to the damaged vessel, effectively halting both venous and arterial bleeding, especially after wound packing, and prevents excessive blood loss.
