Privatization Updates: Successful Auctions by the State Property Fund
Last week, the State Property Fund of Ukraine held 12 successful privatization auctions, generating 120.49 million hryvnias for the state budget. The majority of revenue came from the sale of three assets in southern Ukraine.
"The State Property Fund team successfully conducted 12 auctions in the Prozorro.Sales system. The total amount of winning bids reached 120.49 million hryvnias," the report states.
"Increased competition at the auctions resulted in a price increase of 2.32 times. A total of 33 participants competed, averaging 2.75 bidders per lot," added the SPFU.
The most expensive item of the last week was the children's health center 'Young Ship Repairman' in Odesa, whose price soared from an initial 14.2 million hryvnias to a final 70 million hryvnias, according to the SPFU.
There was also significant interest among investors for the EMI of the 'Odesa State Design Bureau of Cinematographic Equipment', with a final price of 33.5 million hryvnias.
The price for the EMI of the 'Southern Research and Design Institute for the Development of Fishery Fleet' in Mykolaiv rose from an initial 379.9 thousand hryvnias to 8 million hryvnias.
This week, the SPFU plans to hold 20 online privatization auctions, offering various objects.
Among them are a 26% state share in the JSC 'Naftokhimik Prykarpattia', EMI of the 'Slavutsky Plant 'Budfarfor'', and a 50% + 1 share in the JSC 'Rivne Radio Technical Plant' and others.
It should be noted that SPFU had earlier reported having 1240 objects in its small privatization portfolio and 19 objects in its large privatization portfolio in Ukraine.
In the first year of online auctions for large privatization in the Prozorro.Sales system, the state received 8.9 billion hryvnias.
For small privatization over seven years, more than 21.8 billion hryvnias were generated for various levels of budgets.
The State Property Fund of Ukraine also reported that over 6 billion hryvnias were transferred to the state budget.
As of the first half of 2025, 820.5 million hryvnias and 156.59 million hryvnias in VAT had already entered the state budget from privatization, totaling an economic effect of over 977 million hryvnias.
