Fatal Encounter Between Tenant and Landlord in Odessa

In Odessa, a horrifying incident occurred where a tenant, inebriated, killed his landlord during a quarrel. Following the act, he fled to the capital but was apprehended by the police. The perpetrator has received a nine-year prison sentence.

The incident took place in March of last year in the apartment of a 63-year-old resident of Odessa. When the man stopped answering phone calls, his friends alerted the police. Authorities found him unresponsive.

During the investigation, police established that a 53-year-old man, who had rented a room for several weeks, was involved in the murder. A day before the discovery of the body, a conflict arose between the two men due to differing life views, leading to a serious altercation where the tenant inflicted stab wounds.

During the investigation, biological evidence was collected using a mobile DNA lab, confirming the suspect's involvement in the crime. A forensic examination concluded that the victim died from penetrating wounds to the chest.

The police detained the suspect, and after gathering sufficient evidence, he was charged with murder. The court reviewed the case and sentenced him to nine years of imprisonment. The defendant admitted his guilt and expressed sincere remorse.
