Photography Exhibition Promoting Inclusion in Odesa
At the ‘House with an Angel’ in Odesa, an intriguing photo exhibition titled ‘Perspectives on Life’ has opened, featuring works from the NGO ‘Fund for Special Youth of Ukraine’ and members of the National Union of Photographic Artists of Ukraine.
The project includes contributions from fourteen photographers with special needs participating in the ‘Photo School’ initiative, supported by the Jewish Volunteer League, along with six renowned Odesa photographers. All photographs are paired based on a common theme, showcasing one work from a novice and another from a professional.
“A lot is being done in Odesa to foster an inclusive environment. Creativity also breaks barriers and assists individuals with special needs in developing their talents and sharing their unique perspectives on life. All the photographs are incredibly talented and allow viewers to connect with true art,” noted Olena Kytainska, Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the Odesa City Council.
The exhibition opening also featured a charity auction of photographs from famous authors to support the inclusive theater ‘Tolerance’ of the ‘Fund for Special Youth of Ukraine’. Theater participants performed a creative act and received commemorative diplomas.
The ‘Perspectives on Life’ photo exhibition will run until April 25 at the exhibition hall of the ‘House with an Angel’ located at: Italian St. (Pushkinska), 51.
