Enhancing Urban Environment: The Role of Municipal Workers
Every day, around 1200 municipal workers strive to enhance the urban environment in our cities. They clean the streets using both manual labor and specialized machinery, maintain the city's communication systems, and care for green spaces.
In addition to daily cleaning tasks, workers are responsible for maintaining and repairing the stormwater drainage system and key hydraulic structures, such as buffer ponds and canals.
From spring until autumn, municipal employees clean monuments that are not considered cultural heritage, repairing and painting them as necessary.
As the fountain season approaches, specialists prepare the equipment for operation.
Landscapers trim roses, bushes, and trees, seed lawns, and tend to flower beds.
Municipal services also ensure the cleanliness of Odessa's cemeteries by removing fallen leaves and debris.
Daily maintenance of residential areas is carried out, with workers clearing illegal dumps and tidying up public spaces.
