Ukrainian Tech Innovations Showcase in Japan
The 25th anniversary exhibition of advanced technologies CEATEC-2024 took place in the Japanese city of Chiba.
This year, Ukrainian companies presented their technological innovations for the second consecutive year at the largest international exhibition in Asia.
The Odessa City Council delegation showcased Ukrainian IT developments at a unified stand.
Director Tamila Afanasyeva from the "Grant Office "Odesa 5T" presented innovations from the IT Family Odesa cluster and the Faculty of Cybersecurity at the International Humanitarian University.
Additionally, the Odessa delegation participated in the 13th Asia Smart City Conference held in sister city Yokohama.
This conference brought together global leaders in urban development and technology innovation.
During their stay in Japan, the Odessa delegation held protocol meetings with the mayor of Yokohama, city council leadership, and the Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan.
Furthermore, discussions were held with representatives of the Yokohama municipality, JICA, and the UN Development Programme office.
Key infrastructure projects in Odessa were discussed with Japanese firms including Nippon Koei and JFE Engineering.
Negotiations were also conducted with members of the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO, focusing on the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage sites.
Japanese society expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their fight for freedom and openness to collaboration with the Odessa community.
