Strengthening Ties: Odesa and France Collaborate on New Projects

The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with a French delegation led by the president of the Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage (AMO) association and head of the Parisian architectural firm Martin Duplantier Architectes, Mr. Martin Duplantier.

During the dialogue, both sides discussed potential projects that could benefit from the architectural firm and association’s assistance. They particularly focused on medical and educational facilities, as well as cultural heritage initiatives.

"France has long been a friend of Odesa, supporting Ukraine during the war, and we are interested in continued partnership and investment in Odesa. Today, we are looking into restoration projects," said Mr. Duplantier.

Hennadiy Trukhanov expressed gratitude for the attention towards the city, emphasizing that caring for children and creating conditions for their development is a priority for Odesa.

"Unfortunately, the number of children needing special attention is increasing. Therefore, we need to establish a facility where children with disabilities and special educational needs can receive medical assistance and education. Our team of educational and medical specialists has developed relevant proposals outlined in the "Swallow" project, - noted the mayor.

Mr. Duplantier expressed confidence that through cooperation with the French Government and various European Union institutions, grant programs would be found to implement this important project.
