New water well in the Peresyp district: quality water for the community
A modern well complex with an artesian borehole has been completed at 60v Heroes of Defense of Odesa Street in the Peresyp district.
This represents the second source of quality drinking water in a densely populated area. Plans are underway to build two additional wells on Akadema Sakharoa Street and in the area of Vladislav Buvalkin Street.
The new complex includes a technical building, staff facilities, a pump station, ventilation and air conditioning systems, fire alarms, and a diesel generator to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages.
“This is not just a technical facility — it is a guarantee of safety and care for the people. We recognized how crucial it is to have backup water sources when the country faced disruptions due to hostile attacks. Now we have another modern, reliable well that meets all requirements,” emphasized Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The complex is equipped with an artesian borehole exceeding 115 meters in depth, with a water output of 3–4 cubic meters per hour. The water undergoes a full purification cycle: aeration, mechanical filtration, reverse osmosis, ozonation, and sorption treatment using carbon filters.
This process ensures that the water meets hygiene standards for drinking, as confirmed by laboratory analyses from the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Scientific Research Institute of Transport Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Currently, there are 17 wells operating in various districts of Odesa.
