Odesa's Winter Preparations: New Initiatives
The Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, held an important meeting with leaders of critical sector enterprises involved in heating, water, gas, and electricity supply. The primary purpose of this meeting was to assess the city’s preparedness for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
According to reports from enterprise leaders, preparations for the winter season are at their final stage. All heating plants are ready to be launched, and final adjustments are underway.
Eleven new cogeneration machines have been installed and are currently being connected. An additional six units are expected to be delivered by the end of the year as per agreements with international partners.
Educational and medical institutions have been provided with alternative energy sources to ensure uninterrupted operations.
DTEK has prepared an emergency stock of materials and has a clear action plan in case of potential attacks on the energy infrastructure.
Representatives from «Odesagas» confirmed that there is enough gas supply to ensure a stable heating season.
«We are facing another challenging winter, but we have already proven that we can endure!» emphasized the Mayor of Odesa.
The city administration continues to work on enhancing Odesa's energy resilience and urges citizens to support each other and be ready to act collectively in the face of challenges.
