Reinstatement of Tram Route No. 7 in Odessa
Starting September 2, the tram route No. 7 «North — South» will be reinstated in Odessa, providing direct connections between the most remote districts of the city — from 28th Brigade Street to the 11th station of Lustdorfskaya road.
The route covers over 120 stops and carries up to 70 thousand passengers daily.
Odessa's mayor, Gennady Trukhanov, emphasized that the repairs on Blazhko descent (formerly Marinesko descent) have been completed, all tests have been conducted, and starting tomorrow, 13 new multi-section, comfortable, barrier-free trams purchased with the help of the European Investment Bank will begin operations.
Consequently, as of September 2, the operation of tram route No. 3, which followed the scheme: «11th station of Lustdorfskaya road – Pasteur Street», will be suspended.
