Gas Explosion in Odesa: Woman Injured
On September 6th, a gas-air mixture exploded in an apartment in the Khadjibey district of Odesa. The incident occurred on the 4th floor of a residential building located on Ovidiopolskyi Road. The explosion caused a fire and damaged balconies on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors.
The fire was extinguished over an area of 30 square meters. A woman born in 1964 was injured and hospitalized in critical condition. A total of 7 fire trucks and 22 firefighters were dispatched from the emergency service, along with 1 unit and 4 personnel from the Volunteer Firefighters Association. The cause of the explosion is still being investigated. Authorities urge citizens to strictly adhere to fire safety regulations.
