Adaptive Sports for Veterans: A New Era in Odesa

In Odesa, new rehabilitation methods are being introduced for veterans through adaptive sports. In 2024, in collaboration with the sports club for disabled individuals 'Odesa-Basket', approximately 200 training sessions were held covering various adaptive sports.

Veterans particularly engaged in billiards (97 sessions) and wheelchair basketball (35 sessions). Additionally, activities such as golf, table tennis, boxing, diving, and kayaking were organized. A program for amputee football has also been launched.

Odesa veterans participated in the World Billiards Championship for athletes with mobility impairments in Los Angeles, as well as in national competitions for adaptive billiards and wheelchair basketball.

Odesa takes pride in the resilience and spirit of its defenders.
