Innovative Energy Solutions for Odessa's Independence

Odessa is continuing the implementation of a project to install cogeneration units funded by GIZ Ukraine as part of the SUR initiative.

The city was visited by Mr. Ralf Grotenhoff, head of the construction component of the project "Strengthening Urban Resilience in Ukraine" (SUR) for a monitoring mission.

"These meetings are crucial for achieving our common goal — ensuring stable heating and electricity supply during crises. We are also initiating new projects for further collaboration," emphasized Deputy Mayor of Odessa Anna Pozdnyakova.

The team at KP "TMO" is working tirelessly. The installation of cogeneration units is a complex process that requires significant resources and attention from skilled specialists. Experts are making every effort to prepare for the upcoming heating season with the new equipment.

Support for Odessa under the SUR project is part of German transitional assistance aimed at enhancing the energy independence of Ukrainian communities. This not only helps the city prepare for winter challenges but also lays the groundwork for long-term changes in urban sustainability.
