Water Quality in Odesa's Wells: Latest Insights
There are 16 wells in Odesa providing artesian water to the public.
The quality of the water is monitored by specialists from the State Institution "Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".
As per the agreement between the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» and the State Institution «ODESA RCDC MOH», water testing for consumers is conducted monthly.
According to microbiological studies conducted as of June 12, 2025, the purified drinking water from the wells meets the hygiene standards of DSanPin 2.2.4-171-10.
Protocols with the results are available at all wells for public access.
Additional Information
Odesa has 16 wells with depths ranging from 111 to 149 meters. All wells are maintained by the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center». Estimates from the Service Center indicate that around 45,000 residents use the well services daily. The average water consumption per well is 8 – 12 cubic meters. Water from the wells is available to everyone.
