Revamping the Beach in Odessa
Summer is arriving in Odessa, and many entrepreneurs are preparing to enhance beach areas.
The lessee of 1,250 sq.m of the southern part of the «Arkadia» beach has developed a project to beautify the promenade and beach area, seeking approval from the Odessa City Council.
The northern section of the «Arkadia» beach is managed by the municipal enterprise «Odessa Coastline».
The planned improvements for the promenade include:
- creating a pedestrian zone;
- installing a lift for people with disabilities;
- setting up bins, benches, and lighting;
- greening the area with decorative plant pots.
The beach development as per the project involves:
- creating a summer terrace with a canopy;
- repairing stairs for easy access to the beach;
- restoring the retaining wall;
- constructing a shelter for people with limited mobility;
- installing showers, changing rooms, and a lifeguard tower.
These project proposals have been approved by the relevant departments of the Odessa City Council.
The improvement of the promenade and beach will be carried out in accordance with the regulations of Odessa.
All work will be fully funded by the lessee without the use of budget funds.
