Fire Hazard Alert in Odesa Region

For April 21, a high fire hazard is predicted in the Odesa region. Due to weather conditions, the fire may spread rapidly in case of ignition. Meteorologists urge citizens to exercise maximum caution with fire.
This information comes from the Hydrometeorological Center of the Black and Azov Seas.
"Weather conditions will contribute to an increased likelihood of fire occurrences and spread in ecosystems where ignition sources are present," the meteorologists stated.
Fire hazard in Odesa
According to meteorologists, the danger will persist and spread across almost the entire territory of the Odesa region. A high level has been declared in the following settlements:
- Lyubashivka;
- Zatyshia;
- Serbka;
- Rozdilna;
- Sarata;
- Bolgrad;
- Vylkove;
- Izmail.
Guidelines for Fire Safety
To prevent fires, adhere to the following safety rules:
- do not burn dry grass or leaves on personal plots, as this may escalate into uncontrolled burning;
- avoid open flames near dry vegetation and outbuildings;
- do not discard cigarette butts or matches onto dry ground;
- refrain from visiting forests altogether due to the risk of encountering explosive materials littering vast areas of Ukraine.
If a fire is detected, immediately contact the Emergency Service at 101.
Experts emphasize that in hot and windy weather, even a single spark can lead to a massive ecological disaster.
