On December 19, the Odessa Philharmonic hosted a gala concert for the exemplary choir "Zabava" of the Art School No. 3. The event celebrated 25 years of the choir's artistic achievements.
The Director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration, Ivan Liptuga, congratulated the school's ensemble and presented awards to the performers.
«It is essential for young musicians to perform on big stages from a young age, growing and honing their skills alongside masters of their craft. Recently, the Opera House hosted the cultural project "Odessa. U-NEXT", which united the art schools of Odessa, showcasing the synergy between primary, secondary, and higher music education. This is how stars of Odessa emerge in the professional environment,» said Ivan Liptuga.
During the concert, the "Zabava" choir performed compositions together with the Chamber Orchestra of the Odessa Regional Philharmonic named after D. Oistrakh (conductor - Volodymyr Dykyi).
The young artists showcased their virtuosic performing skills under the guidance of Svitlana Smyrnova. The concert also featured well-known musicians and singers who have collaborated with the choir for many years.
The children’s choir "Zabava" has been reaffirmed as "Exemplary".
