Understanding the Psychological Impact of War
On April 29, the Odessa National Scientific Library hosted a significant event — a lecture titled «Understanding the Psychological Impact of War» featuring Antonina Bruss, a member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychotherapy.
This event was part of the «Mental Health: Library as a Support Space» program, which is implemented in collaboration with the Coordination Center for Mental Health in Ukraine.
Cadets from the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs were also invited to attend. The lecture served as a platform for discussing the effects of three years of war on the psychological reality of Ukrainians.
Ms. Bruss emphasized that war is not only a physical confrontation but also a profound emotional and mental struggle that affects everyone, regardless of gender or age.
The event fostered emotional literacy, increased awareness of the mental consequences of war, and provided tools for maintaining inner balance.
