Successful Night for Ukrainian Air Defense: 309 Drones Destroyed
On the night from July 27 to 28, Ukrainian air defense reported the destruction of 309 out of 324 launched Russian drones, along with two X-101 cruise missiles.
This was announced by the Command of the Ukrainian Air Forces via social media.
In total, the enemy launched an attack with 331 aerial assault means, including 324 UAVs, 4 cruise missiles, and 3 ballistic missiles.
The Russian drones, including 324 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various imitation drones, attacked from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Four X-101 cruise missiles were launched from the airspace of the Saratov region, while three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missiles were launched from the Lipetsk region.
The primary target of the attack was the city of Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytsky region.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 09:30, air defense had destroyed or suppressed 311 enemy aerial assault means: 309 UAVs and two X-101 missiles.
It was noted that two missiles of different types and 15 strike UAVs hit three locations, and debris from the downed drones fell in several areas.
"The Kh-47M2 ballistic missiles did not reach their targets!" emphasized the Air Forces.
