Air Threats: New Insights on Attacks Against Ukraine
Over the past week, the aggressor has carried out numerous aerial assaults on Ukraine, deploying more than 1,800 drones, over 1,200 aviation bombs, and 83 missiles.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on social media, according to Ukrinform.
"In just seven days, we have witnessed extensive attacks by the enemy: over 1800 drones, more than 1200 guided bombs, and 83 various types of missiles. The Russian forces continue to terrorize Ukrainian cities in an attempt to instill fear in the population," the President stated.
Zelensky emphasized that despite Moscow's aggressive actions, the air defense forces are showing promising results against this threat.
"Interception drones are performing exceptionally well – hundreds of Iranian 'Shahed' drones have been shot down this week alone," he added.
The President also noted that discussions with international partners this week focused on scaling up defense technologies.
Volodymyr Zelensky thanked everyone willing to support Ukraine and the soldiers who protect its airspace.
He stressed: "Shaheds" are one of Russia's methods to prolong the war. We must neutralize this threat to allow diplomatic efforts to succeed."
The President expressed hope for the fulfillment of all agreements that will strengthen Ukraine's defense, as well as for strong actions from the US, Europe, and the G7 countries.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of July 12, Russian forces targeted cities across the country. A total of 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones were launched.
