Air Assault Update: New Insights
On the night of July 9, Russia launched an attack with 741 aerial units, with 718 neutralized by Ukrainian air defense. The Air Forces recorded strikes in 4 locations, and the downed units were noted at 14 locations.

Details: From 8 PM on July 8, the enemy used:
- 728 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones from directions: Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo - RF;
- 7 cruise missiles X-101/"Iskander-K" from the Engels region of Saratov Oblast and Kursk Oblast - RF;
- 6 aeroballistic missiles X-47M2 "Kinzhal" from the airspace of Lipetsk Oblast - RF.
- The primary target of the attack was the city of Lutsk in the Volyn region.
As of 8 AM, the air defense forces had neutralized 718 enemy aerial units, with 303 shot down by fire, and 415 location losses recorded:
- 296 enemy Shahed-type drones (other types of drones) shot down by fire, 415 - location losses/pod suppressed by EW;
- 7 cruise missiles X-101/"Iskander-K" - shot down.
Enemy aerial units were recorded striking in 4 locations, with downed units noted at 14 locations.
The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
