Release of Ukrainians: New Stages of Exchange
Over eight phases of exchange, thousands of Ukrainians have been brought home, including both military personnel and civilians.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky in his social media post.
«Eight stages of exchange. Since June, we have welcomed thousands of our citizens back home. These include young defenders, heroes of Mariupol, and those who stood strong in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions. Among them are the wounded, the seriously ill, and those previously considered missing», — emphasized Zelensky.
Most of those freed had been in captivity since 2022. The group includes not only military personnel but also civilians who became victims of the ongoing conflict.
The President highlighted that this achievement is a result of coordinated efforts by a large team working tirelessly to secure the release of every Ukrainian.
«We will continue to work until we bring everyone back, without exception», he added.
