Attack on Odesa Port: Civilian Casualties Reported

A tragic incident unfolded today in Odesa as Russian military forces struck the port infrastructure, leading to civilian casualties.

This was reported by Oleksii Kuleba, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, via his Telegram channel.

During the day, an «Iskander» missile hit one of the docks at the Odesa Sea Port, where unloading operations of metal from a foreign vessel were taking place.

Unfortunately, two individuals lost their lives, including a docker and a truck driver. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

Six others were injured, including port workers and two crew members who are Syrian nationals. All the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance.

The attack also caused significant damage to infrastructure, including portal cranes and storage facilities.

Russia has been targeting our ports for four consecutive years, aiming to destroy key transport hubs and Ukraine's export capabilities. This latest attack is further evidence of the enemy's intent to obliterate civilian infrastructure.

The world must respond to these brazen attacks, as safe navigation is a right for every nation. The international community cannot remain indifferent to such crimes.
