Night Attack on Odesa: Damage and Rescue Operations
During the night, the enemy launched another attack on Odesa.
According to the State Emergency Service, over 10 drone strikes were recorded on June 20.
The mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, reported that high-rise buildings, vehicles, and university facilities in the city center were damaged.
As a result of the drone strike, a large fire broke out, destroying a residential four-story building. Rescuers saved 3 individuals, while an additional 6 were evacuated.
During the firefighting and rescue operations, structures collapsed on the rescuers — 3 firefighters were injured and are currently hospitalized in stable condition.
On the coast, a fire erupted due to the drone crash, and the shockwave damaged recreational facilities.
In another area of the city, a gas pipeline was damaged.
All emergency services are currently on-site.
Preliminary reports indicate that a total of 14 individuals were injured last night, including 3 rescuers.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the nighttime drone attack resulted in damage to the Odesa railway station infrastructure.
The contact network and rail-bed framework were affected.
Fortunately, there were no injuries. Ukrzaliznytsia specialists are already working to address the aftermath.
Train services are operating on schedule.
