Muay Thai Tournament in Dnipro: Honoring Defenders
From March 6 to 9, 2025, an open Muay Thai tournament “Dnipro Star” was held in Dnipro.
This year, the tournament was dedicated to the defenders of our homeland.
The competition saw the participation of 160 athletes from Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Berdychiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, and various clubs from the Dnipropetrovsk region, all vying for medals.
The main motivation for each boxer in the quest for victory was the chance to participate in the national championship in April and the opportunity to join the national team.
The athletes from Odesa, trained at Odesa Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 7, secured 14 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
Winners included: Nikita Kuts, Bohdan Studnev, Kyrylo Berezovskyi, Volodymyr Trufkaky, Yelyzaveta Velykova, Diana Savotina, Oleksandr Andriushchenko, Ivan Rasputnyi, Vladyslav Postnov, Timur Katerynchak, Oleksandr Zabara, Mark Yushchuk, Pavlo Balabko, and Yelysei Shaienko.
Silver medals were awarded to: Dmytro Zanіn, Kira Laryonova, Mykhailo Honcharuk, Ruslan Kravchenko, and Sviatoslav Shaienko.
Bronze medals went to Timur Ostrovskyi and Myroslav Yakush.
The athletes were prepared by coaches: Volodymyr Pishenin, Liliia Shapoval, Mykhailo Mitaki, and Mykhailo Kovalchuk.
The tournament was organized by the Dnipro City Muay Thai Federation in collaboration with the 25th Separate Airborne Assault Sicheslav Brigade.
